The second stop on the Dew Action Sports Tour brought extreme sports to the Pepsi Center in Denver. Did athletes meet up to their mile-high ambitions?
Right Guard Open Extreme sports met extreme altitude when Denver hosted the second stop on the Dew Action Sports Tour last weekend. The Dew Action Sports Tour debuted in June 2005 and is the only season-long, multi-sport action sports tour in the US. The best athletes in six disciplines come together to compete during five legs of the tour. At the end of the season the Dew Cup will be awarded to the athlete in each category with the highest number of points. The Dew Action Sports Tour features freestyle motocross, skateboarding (vert and park), and BMX (dirt, vert, and park). Extreme sports fans in Denver were on hand as Keith McElhinney pulled a frontflip flair (after his second run) in the BMX vert competition. They also watched as US Olympic Snowboarding Gold Medalist, Shaun White won the skateboard vert competition. That win helped White advance from 20th place overall to 4th place. Final results: Right Guard Open, Denver, Colorado
