X Games 13 is just around the corner. This year is promising exciting new competitions and the same amazing action from the best athletes in extreme sports.

One thing you can count on from the X Games is excitement. For 2007, X Games 13 will be bringing some exciting changes to its lineup, including changes in competitions and new, expanded venues.

X Games 13 will be the debut season for three new competitions: women’s surfing, BMX Freestyle Big Air, and MotoX Racing. Another change in the lineup for 2007 will be the absence of the BMX Dirt comp.

For those who are accustomed to seeing the Mega Ramp in the parking lot you’ll find a much more comfortable seat this year. For the first time the Mega Ramp will be indoors. BMX Big Air will take place at the Staples Center in LA. Riders will be dropping in just below the rafters and launch over a 50- or 70-foot gap to the 27-foot quarter pipe. The view is sure to be amazing no matter where you sit.

The National Surfing League’s “The Game” is the format for the men’s and women’s surfing competition. On July 5-8, 2007 the teams will compete in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. The old format of East vs. West has also been changed. Now the six member teams will serve as the US team or the World team.

In MotoX, along with the addition of MotoX Racing Ricky Carmichael will make his X Games debut. It seems as if Carmichael’s future has opened up to include the X Games as well as his NASCAR aspirations.

The 2007 X Games will be held in Los Angeles on August 2-5, 2007. Tickets are now on sale. Tickets are available on a single admission basis as well as package prices. An All-Inclusive Package is available, which includes admission and reserved seating to all events at the Staples Center and Home Depot Center as well as a limited-edition X Games 13 skate deck for the first 200 buyers ($90 per person). The Staples Center Package will get you into the Thursday and Friday night events (Big Air and Moto) with reserved seating at the Staples Center and the limited edition deck (first 200 purchasers) for $45 per person. There is also a MotoX Package for $60 per person, which includes admission and reserved seating for the MotoX competitions at both the Staples and Home Depot Centers. The first 200 to buy a MotoX Package will also receive The Big Jump: The Tao of Travis Pastrana.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster or at the box office. For more information on X Games 13, including invited riders and the latest updates, check out the expn.com website.
