Primal Quest Utah is Over

Wow! What a race. I have nothing but admiration for those who competed in this years Primal Quest. The course was brutal and the heat was relentless.

This was my first Primal Quest (hopefully not my last!)and I had an amazing time. I met some great people, saw some amazing scenery and played the greatest hide-and-seek game ever! There is nothing like sitting in the middle of nowhere wondering where your supposed to be and having four people come over a hill and walk or ride right past you. It's even more amazing if they are the team you were looking for!

I want to thank Gordon and Stephanie for easing me in rather than chucking me into the deep end. Without their patient answers (and maps!) I would have drowned.

Also, a big shout out to our girls Blythe and Sky at CP 37 (Heaven 37). They saw WAY more of us than they probably wanted to but were so kind and so much fun! All of the volunteers were helpful and fun. It was nice to meet so many people who were happy to be there.

For those of you at TA 10...where the heck were you guys? We drove down every road on that mountain...twice!...and still couldn't find you.

And to Christina, it was good to see a friendly face. Thank you for your help and good luck with your schooling. Maybe I'll see you at the next PQ! (you'll be competing right?)

Don't forget to watch Primal Quest Utah on CBS or OLN this fall. And if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

Until then kids...
